FFSS accepts vehicle donations on a year-round basis. Since we are a 501(c)(3) organization, the blue book value of your used car or truck is tax deductible. This a win-win proposition. FFSS gains a vehicle that we can give to a family or individual in need and you, the donor, can claim a valuable tax deduction and feel like your donation is making a direct difference in someone's life. If there are no families in need at the time, we may elect to sell the vehicle for additional revenue to support the rising costs of operating the shelter.

Unfortunately, due to limited resources, we cannot accept vehicles in need of repair. All vehicles donated should be able to pass inspection.

There are always families in Fauquier County who are in need of reliable transportation. The importance of reliable transportation makes the difference between a family keeping their job and their home or becoming homeless.

So instead of selling that old car that's been sitting in your driveway too long, think about donating it to FFSS! We appreciate your interest and your support!!
